Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time Mammographer to perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures in Idaho and Oregon as part of the Mammo Team. The role supports patient care and maintains equipment and documentation in Medical Imaging.

The candidate must hold ARRT registration, obtain the mammography registry within a year, maintain an OBMI license for Oregon, and possess BLS certification, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required.
• Mammography registry within 12 months of hire.
• Active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must have active driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behavior and decisions.
• Demonstrates ability to care for all assigned age groups.
• Performs ordered mammography procedures according to subspecialty protocols to ensure optimum exams.
• Responds to equipment failures, documenting in accordance with Department Policies.
• Keeps accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory.

Be part of our Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team

Our Mammographers have skills and knowledge to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in both Idaho and Oregon.

Our Mammographers also maintain patient and procedure documentation, equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams and provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
3. Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
4. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
5. Must have active driving privileges.
