Job summary

Inova Centralized Personalized Health in Falls Church, VA, seeks a dedicated Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) to join the team on the Community Outreach Bus. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule and every other weekend; when off the bus, you work at Inova Centralized Personalized Health.

You will image and assist in exams following department protocols, maintain safety standards, and participate in improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiography.
• ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist; Mammography Certification obtained within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting as radiologic or mammography technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in performing examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
• Recognizes clinical or emergent problems and takes action to resolve them while producing desirable outcomes.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives, in-services, meetings, and community programs.
• Understands intravenous medications, heparin locks, and central line usage as they pertain to Mammography.
• Applies radiation protection procedures with culmination devices and protective shielding.

Education
