What You’ll Do
- For trained Mammography Technologists – Perform high-quality mammography imaging procedures following industry best practices.
- For X-ray Techs seeking training – Receive comprehensive hands-on training to gain certification in Mammography while working in a supportive learning environment.
- Prepare and guide patients through the exam process, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Screen patients for safety precautions, verifying identity with two patient identifiers.
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment for optimal scan quality while applying dose reduction techniques.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow technologists.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, accreditation, and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and keep workspaces clean and organized.
- Provide support in department initiatives, training new team members, and optimizing imaging protocols.
What You Bring
For experienced Mammography Technologists :
- ARRT registered Technologist, current and in good standing.
- Completion of an AMA-approved Radiography program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Hands-on experience performing independent mammography procedures.
- Understanding of MQSA and state-specific CEU requirements.
For X-ray Techs looking to cross-train :
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech).
- Passion for women’s health and advanced imaging.
- Willingness to complete Mammography training and certification (training provided).
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
Preferred :
- Bilingual candidates are highly desirable.
- Experience in a high-volume diagnostic imaging center.
