Job Summary
Northeast Regional float - Wilkes-Barre / Scranton areas. $15,000 Sign on bonus for eligible applicants! This position also offers a $6/per hour premium on top of the base pay rate. This posting reflects an opening for a Mammo Technologist I and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role to include Mammo Technologist II based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply. Mammography Technologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation and multi-frequency sound waves for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. A mammographer performs breast imaging procedures and acquires and analyzes data, including mammographic and sonographic images needed for diagnosis, at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Mammography Technologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of mammographic and sonographic breast imaging procedures. Mammography Technologists prepare, administer and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Mammography Technologist RT(R)(M) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
