PURPOSE
Operates mammography equipment to produce quality images of the breast anatomy for diagnostic purposes. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
Required: High school diploma or GED. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school. Completion of a minimum of 40 contact hours of training as outlined by the Texas Medical Board. Performed a minimum of 25 mammographic examinations under the direct supervision of a qualified individual as required by Texas Medical Board.
Preferred: One (1) or more years of mammography experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Current certification with Texas Medical Board and registration with ARRT. Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required.
