Up to $7,500 Sign On Bonus

Department: Mobile Mammography - Schedule FT 40 hours per week, rotating days Monday-Friday with four 10-hour shifts and occasional Saturdays.

General Summary

This role involves working on a mobile mammography unit servicing Wayne, Macomb, and southeastern Oakland county. Occasional shifts may occur within the breast center itself.

Hospital: Ascension Van Elslander Cancer Center - Location: Multiple locations

Principal Duties

• Provide mammography imaging services.
• Operate equipment and perform mammography procedures.
• Prepare and position patients; select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
• Explain procedures and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography for breast health.
• Develop and evaluate film quality, including density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, with correct markers and patient data.
• Report equipment issues or malfunctions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department and equipment areas.

Education/Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR an Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable experience.
• ARRT registered in radiology; mammography certification preferred but must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Experience with screening and diagnostic mammography required.
• CDL required within one year of hire.

Certifications/Licenses

• BLS Provider credential from the AHA required prior to hire.
• One of the following required: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS), with certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
