Job summary

A local healthcare facility in Manchester, NH is looking for a motivated Mammography Technologist to join its team. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams, adhere to quality control standards, and assist physicians during diagnostic procedures. Successful candidates will have an accredited Radiological Technologist program, ARRT certification in Mammography, and preferably 3-5 years of experience. A commitment to patient care is essential in this vital role.

• Ability to obtain BLS during employment.

About the Job:

The practice of mammography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Independently performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams based on institutional policies and/or practice standards and/or follows the directive of the interpreting physician to assist in the completion of the mammography exam.

What You’ll Do:

• Performs mammography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Mammography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography exams based on institutional policies and/or practice standards and/or follows the directive of the interpreting physician to assist in the completion of the mammography exam
• Assists the interpreting physician as directed when involved with diagnostic procedures in breast imaging

Who You Are:

• Successful completion of an accredited Radiological Technologist program, Required
• 3-5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, Preferred
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Required.
• Certified by ARRT in Mammography, Required
• Ability to obtain BLS during employment
