Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Up to $7,500 sign-on bonus!
Full Time Benefit Eligible

Shift: FT 40 hours per week, supporting two locations (Grosse Pointe and Grosse Pointe Woods); hours vary between 8- and 10-hour shifts, start as early as 6:45am and as late as 5:30pm. Every other Saturday 7:00am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography equipment and performs procedures, including patient positioning and technical parameter selection.
• Explains procedures and educates patients about the importance of regular mammography for breast health.
• Develops and evaluates images for quality, including density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, including correct markers and patient data.
• Maintains equipment functionality and reports issues.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the department and related areas.

Education/Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.

Certification/Licenses Required

• BLS Provider credential from AHA (prior to hire); ARC CPR accepted but must be renewed to BLS from AHA.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credential from ARRT, obtained within 12 months of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Proficiency in screening and diagnostic mammography; experience with Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound and Stereotactic Breast Biopsies is a plus but training is available.
• Good communication skills, ability to multitask, and work independently.
