Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Sign-on Bonus: $4,750

Employment Type: Part Time, Benefit Eligible

Shift Details: PT 24 hours per week, day shift. The position involves rotating shifts between 23 Mile, Liggett Breast Center, and Surgery Center. Shifts are 8 hours, varying between 7am-5:30pm, every other Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and every other Saturday (Wednesday and Saturday shifts alternate weekly).

Responsibilities

• Provides mammography imaging services, operating equipment and performing procedures accurately.
• Prepares and positions patients, explaining procedures and educating about the importance of regular mammography for breast health.
• Develops and evaluates images for quality, including density, contrast, and distortion.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, with correct markers and patient data.
• Maintains equipment functionality, reporting issues as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the department.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of relevant experience.

Certification and Licenses

• BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA) required before hire; ARC CPR accepted but must be renewed with AHA BLS.
• One or more of the following:
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography from ARRT, obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Medical Sonographer credential from ARDMS, obtained within 12 months of hire.

Additional Preferences

• ARRT registered in Radiology and Mammography (eligible candidates only).
• Familiarity with screening and diagnostic procedures.
