Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Mammography Technologist II to perform routine radiographs and breast imaging under supervision.

You will position patients, adjust equipment, ensure image quality, maintain QA records, and deliver compassionate patient service; travel to affiliated locations may be required.

This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and competitive benefits; 7:30am to 4pm or 8am to 4:30pm shifts, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT Mammography certification and current ARRT registration required.
• Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency license required.
• One‑year experience as a general radiographer is preferred; on‑the‑job training is provided; experience in mammography preferred.
• Current CPR certification (BLS) required.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.

• Operates radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs used by physicians to detect breast cancer.
• Positions patients and adjusts X-ray equipment to correct settings for each examination; evaluates film quality.

Hourly Pay Range: $35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000
• Position: Mammography Technologist II
• Location: 1410 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL
• Full Time, 40 hours weekly
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm or 8am to 4:30pm.
• Travel: Potential travel to Kildeer and Buffalo Grove locations

What you will do:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, operates radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs used by physicians to detect and treat breast cancer. In doing so, positions patients, adjusts X‑ray equipment to correct setting for each examination, and evaluates films quality. Tests radiologic equipment and maintains quality assurance records. Performs related office duties as necessary. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
