Job summary

North Caddo Hospital Service is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform Mammography and bone density exams, while assisting ultrasound/MRI patients as needed. The role requires ARRT radiology certification and adherence to ALARA and infection control practices.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, exam setup, image quality review, data entry in Cerner and Meditech, and coordination with radiologists. Excellent patient care and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiology.
• IV certification if applicable.
• Contrast credentialed, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the room and briefs patient on the procedure.
• Position patients and apply immobilization as needed.
• Observe patient during examination and ensure safety (ALARA).
• Select and operate radiology equipment per protocol; ensure correct hanging protocol.
• Transmit images to PACS and to radiology information systems.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control; keep area clean and organized.
• Register and schedule patients in Cerner; obtain medical history and ensure data accuracy.
