Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Mammography Technologist II in Highland Park to join our imaging team. You will perform mammography examinations with attention to quality and patient safety, under the direction of a Staff Radiologist.

Full-time position (40 hours) with day shifts (7-5:30 or 8-4:30) and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Required ARRT Mammography certification and CPR, plus IEMA experience. Travel to Northbrook and Gurnee may be required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• ARRT Mammography certification required.
• IEMA license required for Mammography experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs Mammography examinations with high technical quality for physician diagnosis.
• Follows departmental standards, policies, and procedures.
• Explains procedures with tact and ensures patient safety during examinations.
• Performs specialized exams under the direction of the staff radiologist.

What you will do

Under the direction of a Staff Radiologist, performs Mammography examinations at a level of optimum technical quality for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, in accordance with departmental standards, policies, and procedures. Performs a variety of technical and clerical duties that will require independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative to apply Mammography procedures. Maintains a high standard of quality care and adheres to the ACR guidelines while obtaining imaging. Ensures patient safety during examination. Explains procedures with tactful manners when there is a need for additional imaging. Perform specialized exams under the direction of the staff radiologist

What you will need

Education: High School degree or equivalent

Certification: CPR certification required. ARRT in Mammography required.

Licenses: IEMA Experience: Mammography experience required.

Skills: Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required; typing 25-35 wpm.
