Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a diagnostic interventional mammography technologist preferred.
  • Current ARRT(R) and CRT Mammography certifications required.

Job description

Title: Mammography Technologist II

Location: Laguna Hills, CA

Department: Breast Center

Status: Full Time

Shift: Days (8hr)

Pay Range*: $48.00/hr - $70.00/hr

$3,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements

Position Summary

The Mammography Technologist II works to support the Breast Center by greeting patient’s, reviewing requests, and performing breast exams with diagnostic imaging equipment. This position is also responsible for setting up imaging machines, explaining procedures, and making sure all tests are performed correctly in accordance with applicable policies and regulation standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

·Possess the required optimal technical knowledge of department equipment to assure appropriate and quality patient imaging of diagnostic value.

·Communicates exam procedure effectively to the patients so they can have a full understanding of their procedure and how it relates to their plan of care.

·Performs screening imaging procedures of acceptable quality to fulfill guidelines of the department.

·Works directly with patients to reduce anxieties and answers patient questions as needed.

·Actively participates in department meetings and collaborates with the Breast Center staff to continually innovate and improve services provided at the Breast Center.

·Maintains working knowledge of all imaging equipment used for Mammography to support the Breast Center service line.

·Ability to be at work and be on time

·Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives

·Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner

·Ability to prioritize and multitask

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • 3 Years’ experience as a diagnostic interventional mammography technologist preferred

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Current ARRT(R ) licensure required
  • Current CRT Mammography certification required
  • Current ARDMS licensure or Breast sonography certification preferred
  • Current BLS required
