Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher.
• Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum of 6 months – 1 year preferred, but will also consider new graduates that possess State of California Mammography License (CRT M).
• License Required: California Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiologic Technology - CRTXR; California Radiologic Technologist Mammographic Radiologic Technology - CRTMA (must have by date of hire).
• Certifications Required: ARRT Radiography RTR; AHA BLS; ARRT Mammography RTM (If no ARRT in mammography, obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening mammography examinations to obtain high quality radiographs.
• Educate the patient about the exam and provide safety and comfort.
• Alert supervisor and/or staff of potential problems or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a relaxed environment to calm anxious patients.
