Job description

Salary Range: 45.41-69.85/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

Compensation Details

Level 1:

  • Minimum: $43.27
  • Midpoint: $54.90
  • Maximum: $66.53

Level 2:

  • Minimum: $45.41
  • Midpoint: $57.63
  • Maximum: $69.85

Level 3:

  • Minimum: $47.72
  • Midpoint: $60.55
  • Maximum: $73.37

Sign-on bonus eligible for all levels based on years of experience and education

Schedule:

  • Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem positions are available
  • Hours / Pay period (2 weeks): Available hours: 80 (Full-time), 40 (Part Time), and 24 (Per Diem)
  • 8-hour shifts

Our Hoag Breast Centers and Orange Coast Women's Medical Group locations throughout Orange County offer routine exams, breast cancer screenings and diagnostics, treatment, and support services to women and their families. As the most common form of cancer among women, breast cancer impacts women of all ages and backgrounds.

Job Duties by Center Location:

  • San Clemente, Laguna Hills and Foothill Ranch:
    • Perform routine screens
  • Newport Beach, Irvine and Huntington Beach:
    • Perform routine screens, biopsies and diagnostics

The Mammography Technologist performs routine screening and diagnostic mammography examinations to obtain high quality radiographs.

  • Obtains images of excellent diagnostic quality to optimally demonstrate anatomy and/or pathology while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.
  • The Technologist educates the patient/family about the procedure as well as provides pre and post procedure instructions.
  • The Technologist takes measures to provide and care for the patient’s safety and properly utilizes procedure-related patient care/support devices appropriate for the age of the patient.
  • Alerts Supervisor and/or appropriate staff of potential problems or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintains a relaxed environment to calm anxious patients.
  • Also performs special procedures, assists with quality control testing, and ordering of supplies.
  • Offers guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Level 1: Education Training & Experience

  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months – 1 year is preferred, but will also consider new graduates that possess a State of California Mammography License (CRT M).
  • Knowledge of EMR Systems and EPIC is preferred.

Level 2: Education Training & Experience

  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years mammography experience is required.

Level 3: Education Training & Experience

  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years mammography experience is required.
  • Experience in breast ultrasound scanning with ultrasound procedures preferred.

License Required

  • California Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiologic Technology - CRTXR
  • California Radiologic Technologist Mammographic Radiologic Technology - CRTMA

Certifications Required

  • AHA BLS certification
  • ARRT Radiography - RTR
  • ARRT Mammography - RTM

Orange Coast Women's only

  • Certified in DBT and 3D Tomosynthesis
