We are recruiting for a motivated Mammography Technologist I/II to join our team! Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds at a technical level not requiring constant supervision but at the direction of a radiologist. Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures that entail application of ionizing radiation; therefore, prudent judgment, strong technical skills, and a commitment to patient safety are considered requisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the position as a senior mammography technologist. Another secondary component of this job involves assisting the radiologist in performing interventional breast procedures and breast ultrasound examinations in order to contribute to a diagnosis. Mammography Technologist II: Level II is intended for candidates with 3+ years of experience with required breast ultrasound certification & current clinical competency, as well as deep familiarity with all radiography imaging equipment used at Denver Health. Mammography Technologist I: Level I is intended for candidates right out of school or with less than 1 year of experience, or individuals still working on developing expert-level competency in breast ultrasound. Essential Functions include performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasound imaging studies, assisting radiologists during interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, operating PACS applications, maintaining department inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Education required is Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program. Work experience required is 1-3 years in performing radiographic procedures and mammography studies. Licenses required include RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT. Knowledge and skills include operation of digital mammography and breast ultrasound equipment, competency in screening/diagnostic mammograms and interventional breast procedures, effective interpersonal skills, and general computer knowledge.
