Job summary

Merit Health Woman's Hospital in Flowood, MS seeks a Mammography Technologist I to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with precision and compassion.

You will collaborate with Radiologists and technologists, ensure patient comfort, and maintain compliance with FDA/MQSA and ACR requirements, while providing patient education and adhering to safety protocols and high-quality imaging standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in state required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required.
• (M) ARDMS or ARRT - Mammography certification or eligibility within six months.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography imaging with high-quality results through proper positioning and compression.
• Adheres to radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Performs routine quality control testing per ACR and FDA/MQSA.
• Reviews orders and patient history to ensure correct procedures.
• Educates patients on breast health and procedure expectations.
• Assists radiologists with biopsy-guided procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepares patients for invasive procedures with clear instructions.
• Maintains documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manages mammography inventory and supplies.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to policies.
