Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. You’ll provide high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography services while creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every patient.

This PRN role focuses on Mammography within the Women’s Imaging department and offers opportunities to contribute to community breast health initiatives under a respected health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT approved school for Radiologic Technology, with equivalent training as required by licensing bodies.
• CPR certification is current and required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures.
• Correctly performs all prescribed Mammography procedures in an efficient manner.
• Able to work independently and critique exams.
• Communicates patient history effectively to radiologists.
• Adheres to radiation safety practices for self and others.
• Stores and transfers exams accurately.
• Participates in community breast health events as needed.
• Provides patient education and ensures consent forms are signed for invasive procedures.
