Job summary

The 61st Street Service Corporation is seeking a Mammography Technologist to support ColumbiaDoctors, a leading Northeast multi-specialty practice. This role involves imaging, processing, and archiving mammography and bone density studies, while ensuring patient care and documentation meet facility standards.

You will operate equipment, assist radiologists with biopsies, and maintain logs and records across multiple sites with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency.
• Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong ability to deescalate stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail, flexibility, punctuality, and independence.
• Ability to work with organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems including EHR, Excel, Word, email.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and all faculty and staff.
• Perform mammographies and general radiological procedures per orders and protocols.
• Position patient and select appropriate imaging options per standard of practice.
• Observe patient status and contact care team if changes occur.
• Ensure diagnostic image quality before radiologist review.
• Assist radiologist with biopsies and related documentation.
• Maintain equipment logs, QA, and PM schedules.
• Handle patient records acquisition, processing, and archiving.
• Provide coverage across practices as needed.
