Responsibilities

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist (Days), sometimes referred to as our Rad Tech II or Radiologic Technologist II at Southern Regional Medical Center for our outpatient Advanced Imaging Spivey Station in Jonesboro, GA, a member of Prime Healthcare. The technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as Mammograms or X-rays in our imaging center and/or Southern Regional. This includes producing high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis, prioritizing patient safety and comfort, and adhering to radiation safety protocols.

Bonus Options: up to $20,000 (paid as stipends every 90 days)

Employment Type: Full Time (Monday thru Friday)

Shifts Available: Days (No call, weekends, or holidays)

** You will need to have your ARRT-M (Mammo) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in order to move forward in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Operate advanced mammography and X-ray equipment to ensure precise imaging and optimal diagnostic outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient safety.
  • Ensure imaging equipment is functioning correctly, conduct routine quality control checks, and report any issues for repair.
  • Verify images meet quality standards before submitting them for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your registered status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  • Effective July 1, 2017, appropriate national certifications in two modalities required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA).
  • Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
  • One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
