Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast examinations and operate mammographic radiographic equipment. The role supports diagnostic imaging, quality control, and patient care in a high-volume setting.

The candidate will position patients, select protocols, evaluate image quality, and ensure compliant documentation while delivering excellent patient service in the radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Experience: 0 years required; 1 year preferred for Mammography Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews requisitions and notes pertinent information.
• Positions patient and equipment, selects protocol and uses required equipment.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and obtains additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of exams by following procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provides customer service/support to patient population.
• Maintains records, reports, and files per regulations.
• Position patients of all age groups for radiological exams as requested.
