Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast imaging and support diagnostic care for patients across the hospital's radiology services.

You will operate mammographic equipment, ensure image quality, and follow protocols to deliver accurate results while providing compassionate patient care.

The role requires ARRT credentials in Radiography and Mammography, BLS, and a commitment to teamwork within our radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 1 year experience as Mammography Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and notes on all additional pertinent information.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required exams on patients, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of each exam by following established procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provide Customer Service/Support to patient population.
• Maintains all required records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
