Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required; ARRT registration (RT) preferred.
• Passing advanced mammo exam/certification preferred or within 1 year of hire.
• 40 hours of training in mammography including anatomy/physiology, QA/QC, 25 mammo exams under MQSA supervision.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of Radiology administrator, performs routine and some special mammography imaging.
• Prepares patients and equipment, adheres to radiology standards of care and radiation safety.
• Performs QA/QC tasks and assists radiologists as needed.
• Exercise professional judgment in procedures and patient care.
