Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Hamtramck, Michigan. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with day shifts in a staff position within the Radiology department.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic mammographic exams, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, and communicating findings to radiologists. ARRT Mammography certification and BLS are required by orientation.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography (M) certification required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammographic exams following established protocols.
• Interview patient to obtain medical history and assess risk factors.
• Explain procedure, risks, benefits, and follow-up to patients.
• Review images, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologist.
• Participate in process improvements and staff education as needed.
