Job summary

Envision Radiology is seeking a Full-Time Mammography Technologist in Plano, TX. The role performs routine and diagnostic breast imaging and bone density exams with emphasis on image quality and patient care.

Expect Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. ARRT certification and Mammography/Bone Densitometry credentials are required; bone density experience is preferred. Join a team dedicated to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of experience in Mammography – preferred.
• Two plus years in Bone Density - preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs Bone Density and Mammography exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates procedure protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
