Job summary

Envision Imaging of East Plano is seeking a Full-Time Mammography Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic breast and bone density exams with focus on image quality and patient care.

The position requires 2+ years in Mammography and Bone Density, ARRT Mammography certification, and a state license where applicable; it offers a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay range of $35.48–$49.44 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in Mammography – preferred.
• Two plus years’ experience in Bone Density - preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patient to ascertain medical history and explains the procedure to obtain the best image.
• Reviews patient charts for missing information and consent; screens implants/contraindications.
• Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
• Performs Bone Density and Mammography exams and notifies if patient condition changes.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates procedure protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and inspects equipment; reports quality concerns or failures.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding department concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
