Job description

Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist, under direct supervision, utilizes specialized knowledge and skills to produce high-quality mammographic images for screening and/or diagnosis for a specified patient population. This position is responsible for completing required documentation for MQSA/ACR/FDA accreditations.

Qualifications

We Require:

  • Current State of Washington licensure as a Radiology Technologist – Certified.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (M) or successful completion of the Mammography certification (M) within 4 months of hire date.
  • Minimum one year experience in Diagnostic Radiology is preferred.
  • 24 hours of continuing medical education are required every two years.
  • CPR Certification to be renewed at designated intervals by VMFH.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology; strong organizational skills; a willingness to grow with technological changes; the ability to manage stressful situations appropriately; attend to multiple tasks and work independently; and be versatile and flexible. A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: two years of experience in mammography.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through internal resources; external RQI resources are not acceptable for compliance.
