Job description

Job Title: Mammography Technologist – ARRT (Full Time) – Sign‑on Incentive: $10,000

Location: Breast Center Renton, Renton, WA

Salary Range: $46.80 – $78.50 per hour, DOE

Job Overview

The incumbent performs high‑quality screening mammography, diagnostic work‑ups, and specialized procedures such as wire localizations, galactograms, and stereotactic biopsies. She/he facilitates patient throughput and directs cross‑trained staff as needed, while maintaining daily departmental operations.

Special Characteristics

Requires advanced positioning, comprehensive breast anatomy knowledge, and a caring, professional patient interaction. Must be proficient in breast‑center computer systems.

Prerequisites
  • Fulfilled MQSA mammography requirements.
  • ARRT with mammography certification preferred; Washington State License acceptable.
  • Previous experience in breast‑health special procedures.
  • Two years mammography experience preferred.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Produce high‑quality digital images, correctly position patients, and select appropriate technical factors.
  • Perform breast‑related studies and daily verification of clinical tasks.
  • Act as department resource for equipment operation, repair facilitation, and maintenance.
  • Assist in training, orientation, and evaluation of new personnel.
  • Assist management with development, dissemination, and training for new procedures and processes.
  • Collaborate with radiologist to perform all departmental special procedures.
  • Monitor room cleanliness, QC checklists, and supply usage.
  • Ensure completion of mandated equipment QC and MQSA requirements.
  • Attend department staff meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of overall departmental operations and policies.
Physical/Mental Demands

Work with a team, handle and lift patients, manage changing conditions, endure potential exposure to body fluids, radiation, and other hospital/outpatient imaging center conditions.
