Job summary

RadNet in Bakersfield is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our radiology team, delivering high-quality diagnostic images and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT certification, an active State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and BLS certification. Experience of 1 year in diagnostic imaging is preferred, with opportunities for cross-training and career advancement within our network.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices following policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while delivering excellent patient care.
• Adjust equipment settings (compression, KvP, Mas, grid, AEC, etc.) to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical concerns.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions regarding exam steps and processes.
• Respond to physician questions and coordinate care for patients.
