JOB SUMMARY

As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform mammography procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe work environment. Your role is vital in delivering accurate and compassionate breast imaging services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform mammography imaging procedures according to protocols and physician orders, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Obtain patient history, verify identification and consent, and review prior imaging and reports.
• Position patients correctly and operate mammography equipment to capture high-quality images.
• Monitor patients during procedures and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including FDA certification records.
• Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret images.
• Follow safety guidelines and regulatory compliance.
• Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment.
• Ensure patient safety, practice aseptic techniques, and provide age-appropriate care.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with technology and practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered with ARRT.
• Certified to practice and administer radiation in Wyoming.
• Proficiency with digital x-ray equipment.
• Hospital or healthcare experience.
• Current BLS certification.
