Job summary

Metro MRI Center in the United States seeks a Mammographic Technologist I to perform all mammography procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will maintain QA records, comply with ACR and state requirements, and uphold Radiation Safety standards. Strong teamwork with radiologists and staff is essential for high-quality imaging and accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a recognized AMA Council on Education program in radiologic technology.
  • Certification by the ARRT and state licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all mammographic procedures according to the Department Procedure Manual.
  • Ensures patient care and recognizes conditions essential for successful radiologic procedures.
  • Maintains quality assurance records as required by ACR, state, and credentialing bodies.
  • Identifies correct anatomical orientation on images and ensures proper image identification.
  • Practices radiation safety following ALARA principles.

Metro MRI Center has provided affordable Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services to the Quad City area (Moline, Rock Island, Davenport, and Bettendorf) and the surrounding communities since 1990. Following the opening of its site in Moline with a high-field MRI scanner, Metro began a new era of diagnostic services in its community, offering the highest level in quality care using the most advanced imaging technology available. Not only that,Metro MRI’s clinics offer evening and weekend hours.

Position Summary
  • Performs all mammographic procedures, according to the Department Procedure Manual.
  • Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure.
  • Performs and maintains all quality assurance records/controls required by ACR, the State and any other credentialing organizations as required by law.
  • Identifies proper anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper identification on all images.
  • Practices radiation safety by applying AARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
  • Graduate from a recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.). State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.)
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and to establish effective working relationships.
  • Adheres to all Radiology Partners policies and procedures, including compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing, and accreditation guidelines.
  • Demonstrates a results orientation for delivering appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
