Job summary

Women's Healthcare Associates is seeking a Mammography Technologist to deliver high-quality tomosynthesis exams with patient-focused care. The role requires an associates degree in radiology, state licensure, ARRT certification, and an advanced mammography credential.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in radiology required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification required.
  • Current license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging required.
  • Registered with ARRT in good standing.
  • Advanced certificate in mammography required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality digital Tomosynthesis mammography exams for interpretation.
  • Ensures ARRT, ACR and MQSA standards are met with excellent positioning.
  • Maintains QA requirements per ACR and MQSA, including regular equipment checks and documentation.
  • Makes independent decisions regarding quality mammographic images.
  • Reports changes in QA testing or image quality to the Mammography Supervisor or Field Service Engineer.
  • Provides patient protection and follows Radiation Protection Laws.

Education

Associates degree in Radiology
Bachelor's degree preferred
Current CPR or BLS certification
Current license with Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Advanced certificate in mammography

Role Overview

The Mammography Technologist ensures high‑quality mammographic exams to ensure compassionate, patient‑focused procedures in a professional and highly skilled manner.

This position offers a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible new hires.

Responsibilities
  • Performs high‑quality digital Tomosynthesis mammography exams for interpretation.
  • Ensures that all ARRT, ACR and MQSA standards are met using excellent positioning skills.
  • Assists Mammography Supervisor by maintaining quality assurance requirements in accordance with the ACR and MQSA standards that include but are not limited to: weekly detector flat field calibration, weekly artifact evaluation, weekly phantom images, weekly SNR measurements, weekly viewing conditions, biweekly compression indicator, quarterly repeat / reject analysis, and semiannual geometry calibration and compression.
  • Make independent decisions regarding quality mammographic images.
  • Reports any changes in quality assurance testing or quality of the mammographic image by contacting Mammography Supervisor and / or Field Service Engineer.
  • Provides protection for patients and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards that include consistent and established policy on reject / repeat measurements and follows the state’s regulatory Radiation Protection Laws.
  • Makes conscious effort to provide quality mammography with compassion and the least amount of discomfort possible.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in radiology required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging required.
  • Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Advanced certificate in mammography required.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification required.
