Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital Imaging Center is seeking a diagnostic imaging professional to perform advanced imaging procedures (CT/MRI) on adults and/or pediatric patients. The role includes preparation of patients and equipment, and independent performance of studies in on-call situations and portable exams as required by the work area.

Ideal candidates may have an Associate or Trade School equivalent and will be eligible to pursue required registrations.

Qualifications

• Associate or Trade School equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs imaging studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by the work area.

• 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• May need to work until 4:30 p.m. during PTO coverage
• Employee will eventually need to become registered as a breast sonographer

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Imaging Center is a highly specialized, full-service department which strives to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapies.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
