Job summary

Providence Swedish Ballard in Seattle is seeking a radiology technologist with mammography expertise for a high-volume outpatient setting. You will perform specialized breast imaging and maintain MQSA and FDA quality standards while delivering compassionate patient care.

Required ARRT eligibility and Washington licensure, plus mammography certification within one year. The role is on-site with potential additional duties in general radiography as needed.

Qualifications

• Formal radiologic technology training program that meets ARRT registry requirements.
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography (ARRT).
• Within 1 year: National Registered Technologist - Mammography.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiological procedures for breast disease diagnosis and treatment in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring manner.
• Contribute to quality control activities mandated by MQSA and FDA.
• May perform diagnostic radiology exams as required by location.

Description

This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Dependent on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography
• Dependent on location, prior general radiography experience may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of full-time mammography experience
