Qualifications

• Associate's degree in applied science or equivalent.
• 3D/tomographic training completed.
• ARRT certification current and active.
• State license as mammography/radiography technologist current.
• Ongoing continuing education as required.

Responsabilités

• Position patients and explain procedures for comfort.
• Acquire and adjust images for diagnostic quality.
• Review images before radiologist submission.
• Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain records in EMR with medical history.
• Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols.
• Educate patients on breast health and self-exams.
• Coordinate with outside facilities for prior imaging.
• Assist with coding, billing, and admin tasks.
• Keep patient areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Perform routine QC testing on equipment.

Formation

Associate's degree in applied science

3D/tomographic training

ARRT certification

State license as mammography technologist/radiography technologist

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour

Job Description:

Coastal Women's Healthcare is looking for an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team. What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding
• Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality
• Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists
• Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols
• Educate patients on breast health, including self-exam techniques
• Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed
• Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas
• Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum associate's degree in applied science
• Completion of 3D/tomographic training
• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current state license as a mammography technologist/radiography technologist
• Up to date continuing education experience as required
• Experience with EMR and imaging systems (Sectra, Epic, PenRad applications highly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
