Coastal Women's Healthcare in Scarborough, ME is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our independent women's health practice. You will perform high-quality imaging, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver compassionate care.

Requirements include an associate degree in applied science, ARRT certification, and a state license. Experience with EMR systems (Sectra, Epic, PenRad) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate's degree in applied science.
• Completion of 3D/tomographic training.
• Current ARRT certification and state license as mammography/radiography technologist.
• Up to date continuing education as required.
• Experience with EMR and imaging systems (Sectra, Epic, PenRad preferred).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding.
• Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality.
• Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist.
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists.
• Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols.
• Educate patients on breast health, including self-exam techniques.
• Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed.
• Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas.
• Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively.
