Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Radiologic Mammography Technologist to perform mammographic imaging in outpatient clinics across the Greater Sacramento Area, including Roseville, California.

You will prepare patients, assist radiologists, capture diagnostic images, document patient information in the EMR, and maintain radiology equipment. Requires CA CRT and Mammography license, AMA Radiologic Technology program completion, and BLS certification; strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
  • Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography
  • CA license verification prior to start if in process
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills are essential
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety is required

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics.

Every day you will assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist, help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record for the Radiologist’s review. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. You may be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Job Requirements Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
  • Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography
  • Candidates in the process of obtaining CA licensure may be considered, however CA license must be verified prior to start date.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills are essential
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety is required
Preferred
  • At least one (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
  • Certification in Mammography through ARRT
  • Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS

Pay Range

$44.18 - $65.71 /hour
