Job description

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Radiologic Mammography Technologist, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics, assist in preparing patients, relay instructions from the radiologist, capture diagnostic images, document patient data, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment, and occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area.

Every day you will assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations, relay instructions from the radiologist, help capture usable diagnostic images so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided in the patient’s medical record for the Radiologist’s review. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. Job Requirements

Required

• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
• Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography
• Medical Radiographer: CA
• Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)

Preferred

• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
