Tower Health in PA is hiring a Per Diem Mammography Technologist for the Limerick Outpatient Center. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with no holiday or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include performing mammograms, maintaining image quality, and delivering safe, patient-centered care under MQSA guidelines. Qualified candidates will have Mammo and General X-ray experience, a post-high school diploma, and ARRT certification with board certification in Mammography.

• Must have Mammo and General X Ray experience.
• ARRT Certification and Board Certified in Mammography; RT(R)(M).

Responsabilités

• Administers ionizing radiation for screening/diagnostic mammograms per protocol.
• Demonstrates breast anatomy, physiology, pathology and terminology relevant to the exam.
• Maintains accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques and image parameter evaluation.
• Integrates technical skills with patient interaction to obtain diagnostic information.
• Uses professional judgment and seeks direction from MQSA interpreting physician or policies as needed.
• Provides compassionate patient care respecting cultural and emotional needs.

We are hiring for Per Diem Mammography Technologist at our Limerick Outpatient Center:

• Part Time - 20 hours a week; no holidays or weekends

The Mammography Technologist:

• administers ionizing radiation when performing screening and/or diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols.
• demonstrates an understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology as they relate to the procedure.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards.
• integrates technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
• utilizes independent professional judgment and critical thinking to obtain the resultant diagnostic information when possible and seeks direction from a MQSA qualified interpreting physician or lawful institutional policies (or standards of care) to continue or discontinue the exam.
• remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
