Job summary

RadNet in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Mammography Technologist to operate mammographic equipment, produce high-quality images, and ensure excellent patient care. You will monitor patient well-being, guide patients through imaging steps, and respond to physician needs while safeguarding patient information and medications.

Radiology teamwork is essential. Applicants should hold ARRT certification, state radiologic license, and BLS, with at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification required.
• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment per policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images promptly with patient care.
• Adjust compression, KvP, Mas, grids, and other settings for quality imaging.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to concerns.
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions to ease anxiety.
• Address physician questions regarding patient studies.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications as required.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public.

When you join us as a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients' well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

Pay Range:

$38.00-$47.00 per hour
