Job summary

Hmixray is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Phoenix, AZ to join our radiology team. You will operate mammographic equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images while delivering excellent patient care.

Eligible candidates hold ARRT(R)(M) certification, a State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and BLS certification. Preference given to applicants with at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification required.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment per policy and protocol.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Guide patients through the exam steps and answer questions.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications as required.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification

Pay Range:

$38.00-$47.00 per hour
