Location: Queens, NY, with ad-hoc float to Midtown and Brooklyn locations.

Salary Range: $91,000.00 to $100,100.00 annually.
Job Summary:
Performs mammography and/or radiographic procedures on patients as ordered by appropriately credentialed healthcare providers. Maintains equipment logs, records, and files. Performs light maintenance on equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs radiologic procedures.
- Takes and processes all requests for tests promptly, ensuring proper physician signature, patient history, diagnosis, test type, and instructions.
- Assists with scheduling radiologic tests as needed.
- Assists patients to and from the waiting area, reviews patient history, and prepares paperwork according to center policies.
- Prepares patients for procedures, explaining what to expect and their responsibilities.
- Adheres to safety standards regarding equipment and policies.
- Reviews films with radiologists, including previous studies if necessary.
- Coordinates inter-office transport of films for timely interpretation.
- Maintains accurate logs, records, and files for staff access.
- Performs light maintenance on processors and other equipment, including cleaning and monitoring.
- Communicates with maintenance companies for equipment or software issues.
- Orders and maintains inventory of films and supplies.
- Conducts mandated quality assurance activities, including compliance with safety standards, cleanliness, equipment quality control, and personnel monitoring.
- Maintains current knowledge of equipment use and safety.
- Participates in in-service education programs as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Currently registered in radiology and mammography in New York State.
- Minimum of one year experience as a mammographer.
- Current BCLS certification.
