Job summary

Akumin in Wellington, FL is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a full-time role. You will perform mammogram exams, gather patient history and prior imaging, and support QC per FDA/ACR guidelines.

The position requires ARRT(M) certification, state license if applicable, MQSA compliance, CPR/BLS, and strong customer service with good organizational skills. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Mammography Program (State approved) certificate.
• ARRT(M) certification and State License, if applicable.
• Must meet MQSA standards and obtain certification/registry within 1 year of hire.
• CPR and BLS certifications.
• Strong customer service and organizational/multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammogram exams on patients.
• Obtains patient history, prior films/reports, and supportive information.
• Performs Quality Control (QC) per FDA/ACR requirements.
• Provides imaging support to other modalities in the center.
• Maintains documentation and coordinates with mammogram letters (results/reminders).

This will be a Full Time position.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Performs mammogram exams on patients.Obtains patient history, prior films/reports, and any other supportive role information that is needed (RIS/PACS, burn discs).Performs Quality Control (QC) needed for FDA/ACR.Provides imaging support to other modalities in center (x-ray/ bone density, etc).Works with mammogram letters (results/reminders).Position Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree preferred.Certificate from College or Technical SchoolMammography Program (State approved)CPR certificationAs applicable, valid state driver’s license.Must have met initial requirements under MQSA standards.Strong customer service skills.Organizational and multi-tasking skills.Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.ARRT(M) and State License, if applicable.Note: Completion of an accredited Mammography program acceptable in lieu of ARRT(M).
