Job summary

RadNet in California seeks a Mammography Technologist to join a dedicated radiology team delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.

You will operate mammographic equipment, ensure patient comfort, maintain safety and HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with physicians. ARRt certification, state license, and BLS are required; 1+ year imaging experience preferred. Pay range: $55.00–$70.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification, state license in diagnostic radiologic technology and BLS certification are required.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mammographic equipment per policies and protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patient well-being during exams and address discomfort or problems.

When you join us as a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders—patients, providers, payors, and regulators—to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
  • Produce high‑quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high‑quality images.
  • Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • ARRT(R)(M) certification.
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS certification.
