Job summary

Vighter LLC is seeking a Mammography Technologist at Fort Hood, TX. You will operate mammography equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain image quality, and comply with regulations and facility policies.

This role may be Full Time or Part Time and requires ARRT Mammography certification. Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammography, positioning patients, reviewing images, educating patients, maintaining records in EMR, and collaborating with radiologists

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate digital mammography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review images for quality and repeat studies when necessary.
  • Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Follow radiation safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform routine quality control and equipment checks.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
  • Maintain current knowledge of mammography standards and best practices.
  • Adhere to applicable safety goals and standards.
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach focused on quality care and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with regulations regarding confidentiality of patient information and PII.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

Mammography Technologist – Fort Hood, TX. This role may be Full Time or Part Time and requires operating mammography equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining image quality, and complying with applicable regulations and facility policies.

Location: Fort Hood, TX. Requisition ID: 1093. Salary Range: $42.00 to $47.00 hourly.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and Skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Technical proficiency to fulfill job requirements, including fluency in English (speaking, understanding, reading, writing).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years in Mammography.
  • Certification: ARRT Mammography certification (M) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification via the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with willingness to adapt and innovate.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and conveying complex concepts.
Duty Hours / On-call
  • Expected duty hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. This position supports 24/7/365 operations and may require day, night, weekend, or holiday work.
  • Location: Fort Hood, TX. Supportive team environment and opportunities to work with diverse populations including service members, veterans, retirees and families.
Travel
  • As required to satisfy contractual obligations. Commuting is non-compensatory. All official travel is government funded.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.

  • Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
