Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Mammography (M).
• South Carolina Radiologic Technologist license.
• Knowledge of SC Radiation Quality Standards compliance.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency in screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Working knowledge of MQSA and ACR standards.
• Preferred: Breast imaging experience.
• Preferred: Strong skills in patient positioning and technique selection.
• Preferred: Experience with image quality review and EHR documentation.
• Preferred: Familiarity with quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations with accuracy and attention to detail
• Position patients correctly and select appropriate imaging techniques to produce high-quality images
• Review images for quality and technical adequacy, repeating studies when necessary
• Ensure compliance with MQSA, ACR, and South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and breast health staff to support patient care
• Explain procedures to patients clearly and address concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Maintain accurate patient records and document examinations in the EHR system
• Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold imaging standards
• Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and the public
• Maintain and operate mammography equipment according to manufacturer and facility guidelines

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our breast imaging team in Florence, South Carolina. This full-time, on-site position offers a day shift role, where you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality breast imaging services to our patients.

As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort, accurate patient positioning, and optimal technique selection.
