Performs all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. Provides the best patient care and practices radiation safety standards at all times.
Job Description:
Conducts general screening and diagnostic Mammography and/or Bone Densitometry imaging studies of patients, including breast ultrasound or interventional procedures, within the scope of demonstrated competency under the supervision of a qualified physician. Responsibilities include: positioning patients for correct anatomy/pathology demonstration, operating radiation-producing equipment, managing electronic radiology systems, preparing patient room/equipment/medications, and maintaining supply inventory. Explains examinations and procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation.
