Overview

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a PRN Mammography Technologist to join the Radiology team!

Description

The Mammography Technologist is a registered professional who provides health care related imaging services to patients of a broad range of ages through the use of Mammography Radiological equipment. These images assist the Radiologist in the diagnosis of disease processes. The Mammography Technologist duties are performed within the framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center's policies and procedures and current professional standards. Additionally, the Mammography Technologist will assist with MQSA, ACR accreditation, Diagnostic Radiology, Stereotactic exams and Dexa scans as needed.

Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist duties described above include performing mammography procedures and supporting related imaging services within MQSA and ACR accreditation guidelines, as well as participating in quality assurance and maintenance of equipment as required by department policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Registry with ARRT in Radiography and Mammography
• BLS Certification
• General radiography (X-Ray/C-Arm)
• General knowledge of stereotactic breast biopsy
• General knowledge of other imaging modalities preferred
