Position: Mammography Technologist at Envision Radiology | Licensed Master Social Worker | MBA

Health Images at South Potomac - Aurora is seeking a Mammography Technologist!

Pay Range: $41.15 - $53.02/hr | Tuesday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm | $8,000 sign-on bonus for eligible employees

Summary/Objective:

Performs routine and diagnostic breast exams to obtain high-quality images with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  1. Interacts with patients to gather medical history, explains procedures, and provides patient education on breast self-examination as needed.
  2. Reviews patient charts for missing information and screens for implants, allergies, etc.
  3. Obtains prior imaging when necessary and performs quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
  4. Provides patient care before, during, and after exams, notifying relevant personnel of any changes.
  5. Transfers images as needed.
  6. Coordinates procedures with radiologists.
  7. Maintains and inspects equipment, reporting issues promptly.
  8. Communicates with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager about departmental concerns.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

This role operates in an outpatient clinical environment with potential exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and other hazards, minimized by protective equipment. May require working in cool, dimly lit rooms.

Physical Demands:

May exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. Requires use of hands, fingers, talking, hearing, and vision abilities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Mammography (preferred)
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, team player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Consistently exceed expectations

Education & Certifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Current ARRT certification and Mammography registry
  • Completion of 40 hours mammography orientation
  • 8 hours 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable)
  • State license (if applicable)
  • CPR/BLS certification
