Job description

Full Time (80 hours/pay period)

Days

7:30a-4:00p

General Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist, assists with assessing, planning, implementing, and performing mammography. Maintains the operational aspects of the Mammography Department in collaboration with the department supervisors. Further contributes to other health care providers through the support of WellSpan Health System's Mission, Vision and Values.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures or performs screening mammography in a mobile environment. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
  • Maintains department quality assurance programs.
  • Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
  • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
  • Prepares, maintains, and scans appropriate documentation required by the department.

Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Radiographer Experience Required

Licenses:

  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT Upon Hire Required
  • Registered Technologist-Mammography - ARRT within 1-1/2 years Required

Courses and Training:

  • Registration Eligible Upon Hire Required
  • Accredited program in radiologic technology Upon Hire Required
